Love Joe's Underground. Always a good place with good people. The staff there is amazing. The drinks are always affordable. And their 80s night is seriously awesome! And I always go to their karaoke on Saturday nights!!!

Super chill basement bar. Not the best looking but it's a basement and that's what you get. Huge variety of drinks and entertainment

Great staff. No smoking allowed inside, which is nice if you want to be able to enjoy grabbing a drink without coming home smelling like a cigarette. The drink prices were extremely reasonable and the open mic standup every Tuesday and Thursday is great fun for anyone. No cover fee, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

The drinks are mediocre and it's always really hot when I've been in here. I typically only visit this bar during Augusta's pub crawls. Not really one of my favorite places to go, but it's all about preference. I think the idea of an underground pub is a cool concept.

Joe's Underground Cafe is doing a brunch every saturday till the end of march and I was thoroughly surprised. The food was very fresh and everything tasted homemade. There's a build your own bloody mary station and different live music every week. We were the only people in there today but with food this good I imagine that's going to change.

It's a dive bar. Never our first stop of the night when we go downtown but we'll usually end up there when other places get too crazy

Cool little spot I like to check out in town. I haven't eaten there so I can't speak to the food, but I always enjoy l drinking here.

Went here for lunch. Server came to the table wearing a tank top with visible self inflicted cutting scars on upper arm that could have been easily been covered. Cry for help? I don't know. Just want to get some lunch. She was a mess. Hair unbrushed...she looked like she just rolled out of bed. Not only that, the service was bad. Poor thing. The food was horrible. No wonder me and friend were the only people in there at lunch time on a Friday. The food was so bad I couldn't believe it we actually paid for it. How do you mess up hot dogs, hamburgers and tator tots? Joes underground knows how to! They have this item called sloppy tots. The server even suggested them. They were gross. Go here to listen to live music and drink. NEVER EAT HERE.

You need to appreciate Joe's for what it is, a classic underground bar experience. It's old and dark but jam packed with character that can only come with decades of patrons cutting loose and having fun. I walked into Joe's a stranger, but was greeted by both customers and staff and welcomed as a friend. Oh, and by the way, the food was excellent! So enjoy the mis-matched chairs, graffiti-filled walls and the old-style wall-to-floor urinal in the men's room. It's all part of the experience.

What a fantastic, fun, and welcoming little joint. Outstanding staff and safe environment. First visit was for a drag show, all safety standards were in place. The show was awesome. Homey comfortable place to throw back a few drinks. Live entertainment, local artists. Open mic night Tuesday and Thursday. The staffis great,they also serve food. Most nights there is no cover.

Joe's is one of my favorite places to be. They accept any and everyone there. The bartenders Chris and D are phenomenal. Btw fridays they've been doing 80s nights, Saturdays have been karaoke and Mondays they have a board game/ RPG night. They only gripe I have about this place is I wish the kitchen was fully stocked and I wish they would renovate the place and bathrooms. But if you are looking for that Grimey underground bar Joe's is the place to be.

One star because I can't give a zero. The food took an hour and 15 minutes to come out at 12:15 pm for lunch. My fries were burnt and everyone with us had their order wrong. I do not recommend anyone coming here. The restaurant is filthy and the bathroom is horrendous. I have been to most bars in the area and this is the worst by far. Please stay away.

Great service, awesome entertainment

Dive bar lovers should get a kick out of Joe's. Cheap booze, good beer select, modern juke, and a versatile little stage where I've seen comedy and music. I don't drink as much as I used to, but if I did, this would have been part of my crawl, if not my outright home.

I played the Tuesday night open mic and everyone was friendly and the host was accommodating and kind.

Place was empty only 3 people besides our group on a Thursday night around 10 pm. Maybe we beat the crowd. Staff was nice. Place has a cool vibe. The bathroom smells rank. Fix the clean out drain so the sewer smell isn't permeating the ladies room.

The manager is absolutely terrible but the bartenders are all amazing and totally make up for it! Drink prices are reasonable and the entertainment is always great.

This is a cool spot! There was a $5 cover on Friday night for a live hip hop group, jello shots at the door, cheap drinks and friendly staff/customers. Check this place out!

Stand up comedy night...good drinks with some great people.....

Had to change my review. I used to think it was fun on their busy nights, and relaxing on their quiet nights. The last TWO times I tried coming here (thankfully not tonight,but I'll get to tonight's issue, next) it stank BAD of armpit odor. Like if someone didnt shower for a month or longer. Gross. I think I will just stick with the restaurant bar, atmosphere from now on,at other places. Instead of a straight up bar. They smoke too heavily by their door,and have no issues smokers to linger literally by the door,with it wife open letting every bit of it into the bar. Not everyone wants their lungs poisoned, gee wiz. I. Ame here just to poison my liver, not my lungs too lol. The bar tenders are super nice though..but come on, how nice should you be ? That's a bit too nice when your letting people practically smoke inside the place.

Fun hidden gem in Augusta!

A dive bar with a cringe-worthy twist in the air of both homelessness and prepubescent social justice. The establishment needs a deep clean scrub and so do most of the patrons.
